A GIFT FOR A KING

What do you get for someone

Who has everything?

What kind of gift

Is worthy of a King?

Though a place at his side

Not one can earn,

He has given me so much

I want to give in return.

What did He give, you ask?

He endured humiliation and strife,

He loved me so much,

He gave up His life.

What should I get him?

What could I possibly give?

When He gave His very life,

So that I may live?

He has given a list,

A list for His Birthday

What He wants seems so simple

He wants me to obey.

To keep His commands,

And not for convenience,

But with ALL of my heart,

I will give Him, Obedience.
