AS TIME PASSES

The changing of seasons

The passing of time

As one year gives birth

To another

The old year passes

As a fond memory

And the new one begins

Like a bright morning dawn

With the new year comes vows

And resolutions

"I will do this"

"I will stop doing that"

But what does it mean

This changing of years

We are one step closer

To meeting our father

We are one step nearer

To meeting our creator

We get closer to the day

When he will return

And take us with him

For all eternity
